A Purpose for Every Bag
Giving, serving and supporting sustainability have been part of our company’s DNA from the beginning. Our Reclaimed for Good™ foundation focuses on three key areas of purposeful investment: Product, Programs, and People. We partner with dozens of local, national, and global charity organizations to find service opportunities and repurpose and distribute non-retail merchandise to those in need.

If an item is useful, we work hard to find a place where it can meet a real need. We deliver truckloads of donations that help underserved communities and promote sustainability.

Eyeglasses
Hundreds of thousands of eyeglasses leave our facility and are given to people receiving eye care services from the Lions Club International Foundation SightFirst program.

Wheelchairs
Broken wheelchairs are delivered to prisons where they are repaired and then distributed to disabled children and adults in need by Wheels for the World™, a mobility ministry of Joni and Friends.

Medical Supplies
Through partnerships with Samaritan’s Purse and other organizations, millions of medical supplies make their way to communities where they’re needed most all over the globe.

Clothing
Millions of dollars in clothing is donated to organizations both around the world and in our backyard. For example, we supply clothes for The Neighborhood Thrift Shop, an initiative developed by Second Mile to create employment opportunities in Huntsville.

Love Luggage
We take “Love Luggage” suitcases to schools and charity, social, and business groups to be hand-painted for foster children moving to new foster homes. The personalized luggage often replaces the garbage bags many typically use to transport their belongings.

Salvation Army
We partner with the Salvation Army to provide clothing, supplies, and financial resources for the organization's Disaster Relief Services and Adult Rehabilitation Centers.

Operation Christmas Child
Every Christmas season, Unclaimed Baggage serves as a resource and collection center for shoeboxes that are distributed throughout the world by Operation Christmas Child, an outreach program of Samaritan's Purse.
We initiate employee and community volunteer initiatives.

Willow Street Serve Day
We organize a work day for our team to participate in each year as a way to give back to our neighborhood. Unclaimed Baggage provides financial support to meet the needs of the designated work day properties.

Marriage and Family Conference
Unclaimed Baggage hosts an annual marriage and family conference that includes speakers and breakout sessions focused on strengthening the home. We handle all logistics, partner with local groups and churches to get the word out, and offer scholarships for attendees.
