Redeeming the Lost and Rejected For Good: Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

The Summit of Fort Payne

Since the beginning, the mission and purpose of Unclaimed Baggage has been to redeem the lost, unclaimed, and rejected for the glory of God. Through our charitable foundation, Reclaimed For Good, we are able to partner with organizations all around the globe to give lost items new life and in turn, help change lives for the better. Today we celebrate our partnership with The Summit of Fort Payne.

The summit is a non-profit organization in Fort Payne, Alabama acting as a place of hope and healing for those struggling with life-controlling problems. Their ministry is a faith-based 12-month intensive discipleship program for woman struggling with drugs and alcohol. With a beautiful 16,000 square foot home along with two other homes on 96 acres in Fort Payne, The Summit provides a safe place for women to find hope, help, and freedom.

To help fund their program, The Summit runs the Servant Mission Thrift Store where many people may shop gently used clothing, appliances, furniture, toys, home decor and more. Servant Mission Thrift is located in Rainsville, and is one of the primary sources of funding for The Summit and other local ministries.

Throughout 2021, we were able to donate over 80 gaylord boxes of merchandise to Servant Mission Thrift Store! To put it into perspective, a single gaylord box is approximately 48in x 40in x 36in. A tractor-trailer will carry 12 gaylord boxes at a time. That's a lot of stuff! We are so thankful to be able to redeem these lost items for good by helping stock the shelves of Servant Mission Thrift Store to raise funds for such a wonderful cause.
