Dads can be really hard to buy for when it comes to Father’s Day gifts. What happens when he’s run out of space for ties? What if he really does have all the power tools he needs?
Instead, this year try giving Dad the gift of an experience with you and the gear that goes with it. Here are some ideas for Father’s Day outings that will create amazing memories that will last forever:
1. fishing
If we did a poll of Northeast Alabama, we’re betting a lot of dads would love a day out in the sun to hang out on the lake. According to Bass Master, Lake Guntersville located in our very own back yard is one of the top 10 bass fishing lakes in the nation, so rent a boat, grab some gear and make a day of it! We’ve got you covered for vests, fishing poles and other gear at Unclaimed Baggage Center, but don’t forget your sunscreen!
2. Hiking
Some of the best heart to heart discussions happen when you’re out enjoying nature. Take Dad out for a hike on one of Alabama’s amazing trails. We recommend a hike or ziplining in Little River Canyon close to Fort Payne or make a weekend out of visiting North Alabama’s majestic waterfalls. 3. Take a Splash
