50 Years 50 States Road Tour Postponed

50 Years 50 States Road Tour Postponed

This year marks our 50th Anniversary, and we’ve got exciting plans in store. Embarking on a 50 Years 50, States Road Tour, we will be bringing games, contests, giveaways, and a mobile museum of unclaimed treasures around the country. We’ll be traveling in a 1965 Chevrolet pickup modeled after founder Doyle Owens’ original that he drove up to Washington, D.C. to pick up his first load of unclaimed bags.

Unfortunately, the road tour, originally scheduled in March, has been temporarily delayed due to COVID-19. While we haven’t set a new date for the festivities, we’re still preparing behind the scenes. We are hoping that we are able to get our show back on the road later this year.

Meanwhile, our store re-opened on May 1 after weeks of being closed, with lots of precautionary changes that keep the adventurous shopping experience while protecting the safety of our team members, guests and community. We’re also working with our partners at Reclaimed for Good to continue making donations to those in need, especially during this time.

While we wait for our in-person events, we’ve been preparing something else very special: the Unclaimed Baggage online store. It’s an exciting new e-commerce experience that brings a sample of our unique finds straight to you. Read more about it here

We hope to see all of you as we visit your home state later this year! Keep an eye out on our site and social media for the latest news--so you can be the first to know when we announce the new dates.

We look forward to seeing our guests return to our store and we’re anticipating exciting days ahead. Thank you for being a continuous source of inspiration, joy, and support over the past five decades. We’re eager to embark on our anniversary adventure--and we can’t wait to share it all with you.

We’re so grateful for our local and global communities--and for each one of you. From our family to yours, we wish you all the very best. Stay safe and healthy, and we’ll see you on the road later this year.
